Good on Paper:

The kind of life that looks stable, successful, and approved
but doesn’t feel like yours, anymore.

I write about why we build lives that look right but feel wrong.

What “Good on Paper”

Really Means

A life that feels safe.

Impressive.

It often looks like:

A marriage/relationship that’s stable but disconnected.
A career with a salary or pays well but drains you.
A business that scales but steals your peace.
A life that looks impressive but feels heavy.

Why We Stay

• Fear of instability
• Fear of financial collapse
• Fear of starting over
• Fear of disappointing people
• Fear of looking stupid/dumb/like you failed/insert negative belief

I like to think of my writing similar to Carrie Bradshaw, if she left the city and traded martinis for croissants. Less nightlife and more forests. I loved her voice, it was observant, reflective, and honest.

I just happen to write from a quieter place.”

I did the things that that looked right. But didn’t feel right.

Then, I started to focus on building the kind of life that doesn’t make sense to anyone but me and somehow that felt right. Even though that came with instability, uncertainty and risk.

Now I write about what that decision really means.
