Meet Michelle

I was raised in Northern Ontario and now live on Vancouver Island, where I write about why capable people build lives that look right and what it takes to admit when they don’t feel right.

After stepping away from a marriage, a career, and a version of success that was “good on paper,” I chose to rebuild a life grounded in autonomy and honest reflection. That tension now shapes everything I write.

For years, I interviewed other people who had non-traditional roles and got curious about they built theirs lives around doing what they loved. I did this through writing for Talent North, Her Business Guide and on my own radio show, Boss Talk.

In 2020, I focused on writing for online publications around the themes of relationships, self-care and well-being, some of these were featured in Women’s Health, Bustle and She’s So Single.

I am the author of Feels Like Home and am currently working on my second book.

I live in the Comox Valley with my husband, Kurt, and our two dogs, Diamond and Ruby.
